Xie Shuxian was born in Xushui County，Hebei Province in 1936. He has served as a professor of Shanxi University，member of China Artists Association，member of China Association of Print Artists，committee member of Shanxi Provincial Federation of Literary and Art Circles and Council Member of Shanxi Artists Association. His representative works include Bright Rising Sun，An Old Town of the Yellow River and Awaken Lion.
